Course Description
This 3-day course is an instructor-led combined course of the FortiManager and FortiAnalyzer courses.

Day 1 FortiAnalyzer
In this one-day class, students will learn the fundamentals of using FortiAnalyzer for centralized logging and reporting. Students will learn how to configure and deploy FortiAnalyzer, and identify threats and attack patterns through logging, analysis, and reporting. Finally, students will examine some helpful troubleshooting techniques. In interactive labs, students will explore administration and management; register devices for log collection with FortiAnalyzer; use FortiAnalyzer to centrally collect logs; perform a forensic analysis of logs based on simulated network attacks; create reports; and explore solutions to common misconfiguration issues.

Day 2 & 3 FortiGate Infrastructure
II this two-day class, you will learn the fundamentals of using FortiManager for centralized network administration of many FortiGate devices. In interactive labs, you will explore deployment strategies, which include single or multiple ADOMs, device registration, policy packages, shared objects, installing configuration changes, provisioning FortiManager as a local FortiGuard distribution server, and troubleshooting the features that are critical to day-to-day use after you deploy FortiManager.

• Anyone who is responsible for the day-to-day management of FortiAnalyzer devices and FortiGate security information.
• Anyone who is responsible for the day-to-day management of FortiGate security policies using the FortiManager platform.

Prerequisites

• Familiarity with all topics presented in FortiGate
• Knowledge of SQL SELECT syntax is helpful
• Knowledge of firewall concepts in an IPv4 network
• Familiarity with all topics in FortiGate Security and FortiGate Infrastructure
• Basic understanding of network management systems

Certification
This course is part of the preparation for the NSE 5 certification exam.
