Credit & Collection Analyst

About the role

The Credit & Collection Analyst will work closely with the Credit Manager, managing and reviewing incoming customer credit requests and Collection activities.

  • Partners with the Business Development team and with the accounting team. This position is active in reviewing credit requests and working with our trade insurance provider.
  • Perform analysis of business entities, including Assessment of financial statements and liquidity; Economic and market conditions as they relate to the company, industry, and market area; All payment history for current customers and reported payment history for new customers.
  • Help to maintain and create internal credit reporting documents.
  • Work closely with Trade insurance vendor to manage insured limits, report customer aging, and file claims.
  • Collect and maintain industry data; research industry specific information from outside sources, including industry publications, references, credit agencies, as well as accessing information through the internet.
  • Proactively review credit reporting dashboards and provide analysis on customer risk changes and delayed payments.
  • Assist in developing/maintaining training materials regarding the credit process
  • Support collection activities in accordance with defined payment terms and timeline for all subsidiaries in all countries of operation
  • Review and monitor assigned accounts and update collection tracker
  • Perform outbound collection calls/emails in a professional manner to facilitate the timely collection of client payments, while also maintaining and improving customer relations
  • Perform timely follow-up on payment arrangements
  • Timely reconciliation of client accounts to ensure the accurate reporting of client balances/statements
  • Respond to internal and external client collection and payment inquiries
  • Work on additional project as needed

Must have a proactive, positive attitude and be comfortable working in a fast paced, growth-oriented environment.

  • Must be experienced in NetSuite
  • Proficient in Excel
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Excellent teamwork skills and capable of working independently in multinational organization
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills is a must.
