Forescout Certified Administrator (FSCA)

Forescout Certified Administrator training is a four-day course featuring instruction as well as hands-on labs in a simulated IT environment. Students learn how to establish security policies using all of our available tools. Students will classify and control assets in a network environment and observe how the Forescout platform monitors and protects an enterprise network.

Course Overview

1. Who is this course designed for?

This is an entry-level course aimed at individuals who are in a position of administering and supporting an existing Forescout solution or are looking to progress onto FSCE level. Typically, this would be IT support staff or security analysts within an organisation where Forescout is deployed.
In addition, this course can also be aimed at resale partners who are looking to gain technical expertise of the solution for the purpose of pre-sales activities, or consultants looking to progress to the next course – FSCE, which provides certification for carrying out new deployments.

3. What are the main skills, knowledge or capabilities that course participants will take away? In other words, what will they be able to do afterwards that they couldn’t do before?

The participant would gain a solid understanding of the solution from an administrative/support perspective. This includes, but not limited to, the modular nature of the product, configuration of all major features, the creation of policies in accordance with best practices, an understanding of the purpose of all features within the solution and how to use them effectively, considerations for deployment and troubleshooting techniques.

4. Will course participants gain certification by completing the course?

Yes, however, an exam is to be purchased separately and would be taken in the participant’s own time. Participants would gain the FSCA (Forescout Certified Administrator) vendor certification once completed. The exam is not taken during the course.
