The Firewall 9.0: Optimising Firewall Threat Prevention course combines
instructor-led training and interactive labs to enhance the working knowledge
of how to better configure, manage, and monitor the threat prevention of
Palo Alto Networks® Next-Generation firewalls. The course covers the cyberattack lifecycle and recognise common forms of attacks, the PAN-OS®
threat prevention capabilities, using firewall logs and reports to make better
configuration decisions, and configuring the Palo Alto Networks® firewall to
detect, block, and record threats.
The Configuration and Management course is intended for anyone who anyone
who is responsible for the day to day security, management, installation, or
support of a Palo Alto Networks® next-Generation firewall. This includes
Security Administrators, Security Engineers, Security Operations Specialists,
Security Analysts, Networks Engineers and Support Staff.
The following is required when attending the course:
• Complete the Firewall 9.0 Essentials: Configuration and Management
(EDU-210) or equivalent experience
• Basic familiarity with networking concepts, including routing, switching,
and IP addressing
Firewall 9.0: Optimising Firewall Threat Prevention (EDU-214) course is a
recommended training for taking the Palo Alto Networks Certified Network
Security Engineer (PCNSE) exam.
Additionally, the Firewall 9.0 Essentials: Configuration and Management (EDU210) and Panorama 9.0: Manage Multiple Firewalls (EDU-220) courses are the
other recommended training courses for anyone planning on taking the Palo
Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE) certification exam.
