Server Operation Sales and Procurement Manager

The Server Operation Sales and Procurement Manager will work in a technical pre- and post- sales environment and be responsible for building and maintaining positive relationships with current and future customers by representing and selling customized PC/Server products and services to large enterprise customers, providing technical support to existing customers, and sourcing necessary equipment and materials.

Accountabilities and activities:

  •   Identify, nurture, follow up on and close new solution opportunities that will result in growth in revenues and margin
  •   Meet or exceed quarterly and annual revenue and margin quotas, use margin management techniques
  •   Work with all levels of decision-makers in the client organization
  •   Create quotes and pricing by understanding market costs
  •   Procurement of a wide range of materials and equipment
  •   Provide excellent technical support for existing customers

Essential skills for the correct candidate include:

  •   Experience quoting and preparing sales and work orders using CRMs
  •   Excellent communication skills with good telephone manner – consultative selling style
  •   Strong administrative skills
  •   Ability to hold strong relationships both internally and externally
  •   Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  •   Ability to problem solve and identify a client’s technical needs and respond accordingly
  •   Self-starter who can motivate themself and take a positive approach to providing value to our customers
  •   Demonstrate abilities in the following areas: pre-call planning, opportunity qualification and objection handling, call structure and control, time and territory management

Preferred attributes:

  •   Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience preferably in high tech industry
  •   Direct sales experience selling server and storage to enterprise and fortune-1000 companies preferred
  •   Knowledge of IT Industry – knowledge of our vendors would be excellent
  •   Previous use of NetSuite

Travel requirement:

Some local travel within the Bay Area
