About the role

As the sales manager for the channel team, the successful incumbent has the task of managing and developing our channel teams success at Exclusive Networks.

Key Skills

  • A proven track record in managing a sales team
  • A proven track record in training and mentoring a partner sales team
  • Understand the channel ecosystem
  • Intrinsic knowledge of how to follow a partner program and develop a team that will implement a process of recruiting and managing partners, developing them, setting annual plans, setting QBR’s and achieving sales figures while ensuring a value-add process.
  • Managing performance using a CRM system and using the sales stages for evaluation of deal opportunity status to do so.
  • Managing a sales pipeline and Forecasting process
  • Managing effective business relationships with current and new resellers
  • Defining and communicating targets for the Channel Management team
  • Responsible for achievement of Channel Sales targets
  • Working closely with Country Manager, Vendor Alliance Director and Group Operations Manager to leverage our value-add solutions to drive sales

Who we are looking for

Experience & Education

(Required Qualifications, Training, and Experience)

  • Bachelor’s degree, advanced degree a plus
  • 8+ years professional experience
  • Exceptional leader with the ability to motivate a medium-sized team to produce the most value from our vendors
  • Demonstrable experience of working with partners and customers in the IT security sector
  • Exceptional product knowledge and understanding with the ability to translate this knowledge clearly to others
  • Ability to review contracts
  • Effective problem-solver with the ability to identify improvements and opportunities to drive value for Exclusive Networks
  • Good people management skills
  • Good organisation skills with the ability to manage a busy workload
  • Works well with colleagues across the wider organisation
  • Good knowledge of Excel and a CRM system

Travel Requirements

The main offices are in Johannesburg, Cape Town and KZN. Travel will be expected
