Marketing Coordinator

About the role

The purpose of this position is to manage several brands marketing initiatives within the Exclusive Networks portfolio. Using market research and analysis to direct marketing strategy and planning. The Marketing Coordinator oversees the production of all promotional materials and marketing campaigns. In addition, the successful incumbent must take the necessary steps to measure, enhance and enrich the position and image of the company through various goals and objectives.

Key Skills

Digital Marketing, PR and Return on Investment

  • Ensuring that the EXN website and EXN social Media platforms are all managed and updated with latest brand content
  • Ensure the above contain latest information in line with the key messaging of assigned vendors
  • Creating a digital strategy for assigned vendor brands
  • Marketing Strategy
  • Creating a marketing plan in line with the short term and long-term goals/objectives of the company and vendors
  • Ensuring the successful implementation of strategies
  • Budgeting and Forecasting
  • Managing and creation of the vendor marketing budgets
  • Ensuring that expenses are within budget
  • Creating a pipeline of PR articles in line with the EXN & vendor messaging
  • Building positive relationships with the media
  • Tracking and overseeing the successful reporting of ROI on each event and campaign (marketing expenses x 18)

Event Management, Channel Enablement and Internal Communication

  • Managing and coordination of all assigned vendor marketing events and activities
  • Creation and management of regular channel enablement activities
  • Creating PR articles that will support initiatives of EXN & vendors
  • Sharing marketing critical information with the EXN team where required
  • Communication of new vendor news & developments to internal team

Partner/Client marketing, relationship building and Marketing Research

  • Ensuring corrective action by applying and managing according to the company’s policies
  • Building relationships with key partners/clients and provide support
  • Competitive analysis and research of the vendor landscape
  • Developing strategies together with the Vendor Alliance Managers (VAM’s)

Reporting and Supplier Management

  • Monthly management reporting to Marketing Team Lead
  • Departmental reporting:
  • ROI reports per quarter
  • Marketing recons per product with finance per month & to management per quarter
  • Segmentation of contacts
  • Creation of end user and partner subscriber database (in line with the PoPi Act)
  • Ensuring that suppliers that are used for spending who comply to the standards of EXN BEE procurement level needs and EXN global 3rd party standards
  • Managing and overseeing suppliers
  • Reviewing services given by suppliers and taking corrective action where required

Who we are looking for

Experience & Education

(Required Qualifications, Training, and Experience)

  • Min 1-2 years’ experience in a Marketing role
  • Solid understanding of Marketing strategies
  • 1-2 years IT Industry experience – preferred
  • Social media PR strategies & content production
  • Digital marketing experience
  • Ability to develop strategic plans and implement
  • Ability to inspire confidence and trust in interactions with clients.
  • Experienced in managing budgets and resources

Education

  • Matric
  • Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Marketing, Business or Communications /or equivalent experience.
