Zimperium signs agreement with Exclusive Networks to help channel capitalise on surging Mobile Threat Defence market

Distribution agreement with specialist distributor to secure enterprise mobile endpoints and apps

DALLAS – 19th May, 2022 – Zimperium, a global leader in mobile security, today announced its first pan-European distribution agreement with cybersecurity specialist Exclusive Networks, providing its full portfolio to Exclusive Networks’ partner community across multiple territories including UK, Germany, France, Benelux, and Nordic regions.

Zimperium is the global leader in the critical Mobile Threat Defence (MTD) market. Its own branded solutions are complemented with several OEM agreements with major mobile device manufacturers and cyber security solution providers that embed Zimperium technology to deliver best in class mobile endpoint and application protection.

Research from Google’s Project Zero team found that Zero day, exploited vulnerabilities against mobile devices in 2021 was greater than the previous 5 years combined. It found the total number of exploits more than doubled to 58, with 17 targeted at mobile operating systems. While the number of exploits targeting mobile devices grew by a factor of six, and, as a percentage of all exploits, almost tripled.

In 2021, Zimperium’s mobile security analysis uncovered 2,034,217 new malware samples detected in the wild. On average, that is nearly 36,000 new strains of malware a week and over 5,000 a day.

MTD is becoming a requirement for enterprises, as they look to secure these unprotected endpoints. According to Gartner’s 2021 Market Guide for Mobile Threat Defense , “By 2025 more than half of organisations in regulated industries will have a security solution for both iOS and Android devices.”

The agreement also coincides with a new channel led promotion that allows registered partners to provide two free risk assessments to their clients.  The Mobile Application Risk Assessment (MARA) and Mobile Device Risk Assessment (MDRA) are provided at no cost to the customer and identify risks posed by managed and unmanaged (BYO) mobile devices and applications across critical Network, Device, OS and Phishing vectors. The detailed reporting offered by the each assessment helps partners deliver mitigation strategies for security, privacy and compliance issues.
