In today’s rapidly evolving digital landscape, the convergence of information and operational technologies is reshaping how organizations secure, manage and innovate across critical infrastructure. This transformation is causing a technical shift — it presents a strategic opportunity for channel partners to redefine their value and accelerate growth in the operational technology (OT) cybersecurity space. The global OT market is projected to reach $364.74 billion by 2030 (which translates to a CAGR of 9.6% from 2025 to 2030), according to Grand View Research. Demand for OT cybersecurity protection is expected to increase at a similar, if not higher rate, creating a growth opportunity for the IT community who take action to enter this market.

As industrial operations become increasingly dependent on cloud automation, AI-driven applications and the Internet of Things (IoT), the boundaries between IT and OT are blurring. The latter category, which refers to the physical technologies that secure and monitor devices, infrastructure, and operational processes in industrial and enterprise environments, has become increasingly more vital with escalating cyber threats. That includes industrial control systems for supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA), programmable logic controllers, (PLCs), building management systems (i.e., heating, air conditioning, elevators), and physical devices such as robotics, medical equipment, and traffic light controls. Therefore, the risk of cybersecurity threats reaching OT networks and impacting critical infrastructure and the people they serve requires a bold step to prevent or remediate these threats.

The critical challenge is connecting these disparate domains of IT and OT without overly increasing complexity or risk for the customers and solution providers. Exclusive Networks North America recently launched a new program to help channel partners overcome those hurdles while filling a recognized need for these unique capabilities and solutions.

Exclusive Networks is uniquely positioned as a global trusted cybersecurity specialist to bridge the IT/OT divide by enabling secure cyber-physical systems (CPS) transformation. Through our ecosystem of best-in-class CPS Protection Platforms and services, we help organizations achieve resilience, regulatory alignment, and innovation at scale. Providing the right mix of resources, training and vision allows channel partners to not only secure industrial and enterprise environments but provides them opportunities to generate additional revenue streams in those new customer ecosystems.

The first step in this strategy is our new Operational Technology Center of Excellence (OT CoE) Unify IT and OT Security content hub — designed to empower solution providers with the tools and education required to deploy unified, secure IT/OT infrastructures. This program brings together industry-leading vendors and partners, focusing on resilience at the intersection of IT and OT environments.

A New Model for Channel Empowerment

The OT CoE is not just a website or training initiative — it is a thought leadership platform built to serve as a collaboration hub for the reseller and vendor communities. The goal is to focus on and address the needs of the IT/OT intersection.

Our Operational Technologies Center of Excellence will empower channel partners to extend their market reach, expand sales pipelines and onboard these customers with the expertise, tools and resources required to succeed in these unique environments. The CoE will activate and equip partners skilled in the IT and OT fields, providing them with additional skills, knowledge and capabilities.

Protecting cyber-physical systems — the convergence point of IT and OT — can be an extremely complicated venture without those abilities and resources. Those complexities must be minimized to increase adoption. Our goal is to provide solution providers with access to a collaborative ecosystem built for the next generation of industrial and enterprise security. The OT CoE consolidates a variety of best-in-class suppliers under a single, integrated program, allowing our channel partners and vendors to address the unique security requirements required in both IT and OT. This unified approach lets providers configure end-to-end protection across crucial environments, delivering simplified yet superior outcomes for their clients and their respective end-users.

Driving Industry Leadership

Our goal with this program is to be a catalyst in addressing the urgent convergence of IT and OT security. The emphasis is on leadership, innovation, and collaboration, empowering our solution provider and vendor communities to come together to address the protection needs of those who leverage both technologies to support their operations.

The OT CoE not only provides resources and validated architecture but will help partners navigate opportunities in their existing install base and drive increased resilience in their managed ecosystems.

As digital transformation accelerates, channel partners stand at the forefront of a new era. By uniting protection across IT, OT and CPS, they can deliver end-to-end visibility and defense for critical infrastructure powered by a cybersecurity-first mindset, deep technical expertise and a strong partner ecosystem.

The objective for our industry should be to expand cybersecurity beyond legacy IT and protect what comes next. Operational technologies are not just a potential new market for solution providers; they offer a gateway to collaboration and provide additional solutions and support across both communities.
