VM-Series Firewalls Now Run on More Platforms

VM-Series virtual firewalls provide all the best-in-class, ML-powered capabilities of the Palo Alto Networks next-generation hardware firewall in a virtual machine form factor, so you can secure the environments that are vital for your competitiveness and innovation.

Palo Alto Networks has qualified VM-Series firewalls to run on more platforms. These platforms now include:

  • Microsoft Hyper-V 2019
    • starting with PAN-OS 9.0.11, PAN-OS 9.1.5, and PAN-OS 10.0.0
  • Azure VMware Solutions (AVS)
    • starting with PAN-OS 9.1.0 and PAN-OS 10.0.0. Requires Panorama Plugin for VMware NSX 3.2.0 or later
  • Openstack 13 (Queens)
    • starting with PAN-OS 9.1.5 and PAN-OS 10.0.2

 

Palo Alto Networks offers hypervisor version support on the VM-Series firewall for the following deployments.
