The Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Administrator (PCNSA) is a new customer targeted certification, created to help customers on their learning journey and the ultimate road to Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE). The target audience for the PCNSA is customers who have taken the Firewall 8.1 Essentials: Configuration and Management (EDU-210 or EDU-110) courses. A certified PCNSA can operate Palo Alto Networks next-generation firewalls to protect networks from cutting edge cyber threats.
The certification is a formal, industry-recognized certification that validates detailed

- Configuration of Palo Alto Networks firewalls using PAN-OS® software.
- Indicates that you possess the basic knowledge to successfully configure a Palo Alto Networks firewall.
This certification is not related to any of the NextWave partner programs or compliance. Partners in pre-sales roles will continue to fulfil the required PSE certs. Partners in a post-sales role are expected to have the PCNSE and above.
It covers topics such as NG Security Platform and Architecture, Configuration, Security and NAT Policies, App-ID™, Content-ID™, User-ID™, URL Filtering, Monitoring and Reporting, and Security Best Practices.
The PCNSA exam is planned to go live by the second half of February 2019. The paid exam will be proctored by a Pearson-Vue certified testing center.
