Cybersecurity training: VAD Exclusive Networks optimises enablement of partners and end customers

Munich, 03 April 2024: Exclusive Networks, the world’s leading VAD in the cybersecurity sector, is consistently focusing on enablement and further training for its specialist retail partners in response to the global shortage of specialists in the security sector. At the heart of this strategic initiative are two five-day basic courses that teach security basics and significantly improve the enablement of partners and end customers.

In addition, vendor-relevant training courses have been massively expanded – above all for Palo Alto Networks and Fortinet.

At a time when cyber threats are becoming increasingly sophisticated, the demand for qualified cybersecurity specialists is greater than ever. “The skills shortage in the cybersecurity industry is one of the biggest hurdles to the growth and security of organisations worldwide. Through our extensive training offerings, we give resellers and their end customers the opportunity to expand their knowledge and sharpen their skills to be better equipped against cyber threats,” emphasises André Dieball, Director TCS DACH at Exclusive Networks.

The training offensive is based on two basic cybersecurity courses, each lasting five days. They are specially designed to provide newly hired employees with a solid technical foundation in the field of cybersecurity. They can then draw on valid specialist knowledge and expand it with further specialised manufacturer and topic-related training.

CompTIA Security+ covers the fundamental principles of network and operational security and risk management and is specifically designed to develop a deep understanding of current security issues, best practices and technologies.

Certified Ethical Hacker by Mile2 aims to enable IT professionals to identify vulnerabilities and risks within their organisations’ networks before they can be exploited by hackers. The course promotes a deep understanding of offensive security techniques and how they can be used in an ethical manner to strengthen cyber defences.

Expansion of Palo Alto and Fortinet training courses

Exclusive Networks also drastically expanded the training portfolio for its two manufacturers Palo Alto Networks and Fortinet and also increased the number of staff in the department.

New to the Exclusive Networks training canon are the offerings for CortexTM XSOAR, a comprehensive platform for security orchestration, automation and response (SOAR). With features for case management, automation, real-time collaboration and threat intelligence management, it supports security teams throughout the entire incident lifecycle.

The training courses also focus on SASE, public cloud, NAC and PAM, based on solutions from manufacturer partners Palo Alto and Fortinet. An additional 80 or so digital and local on-site training sessions for these two manufacturers alone are evidence of Exclusive Networks’ strong commitment to training its specialist retail partners.

“Exclusive Networks is committed to empowering its partners through continuous education and resource provision,” promises Macus Adä, General Manager of Exclusive Networks Germany and Regional Manager DACH. “The new training programmes are part of our comprehensive enablement strategy aimed at optimising the cybersecurity ecosystem.”
