Is Cubbit’s object storage sustainable?
Compared to traditional object storage solutions, which are based on data centers, Cubbit is greener.
This is due to three main factors:

Cubbit recycles unused on-prem resources: to join the Cubbit network, you can use energy-efficient Cubbit nodes or recycle your unused on-prem storage capacity.

Cubbit does not own or operate a data center, therefore there’s nothing that needs to be powered and cooled down. Instead, Cubbit runs on a geo-distributed network of energy-efficient devices.

Cubbit can optimize the geographical location of distributed files so that stored shards are close to the owner.
